Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Astra Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16558481), registered office 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom, for your use of the Quo app. By downloading or using Quo, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Quo.
Who can use Quo
You must be at least 13 to use Quo. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Quo on devices you own or control, in line with these terms and the rules of the app store you got it from. You may not copy, modify or redistribute the app, get around its paid features, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
AI models
The AI models in Quo are created by third parties and downloaded to your device. Each is provided under its own licence, and your use of a model must follow that licence. In particular:
- Llama 3.2 is licensed under the Llama 3.2 Community License, Copyright © Meta Platforms, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Your use must follow Meta’s Acceptable Use Policy. Built with Llama.
- Gemma 3 is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use, and its use restrictions, including the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy, apply to you.
- Other models, including Qwen, Gemma 4, Ministral and Phi, are provided under open-source licences such as Apache 2.0 and MIT. Each model’s licence is on its Hugging Face page.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Quo to break the law, to harm others, or in ways the model licences above prohibit. You are responsible for what you ask Quo and for how you use its responses.
AI output
Responses are generated by AI models running on your device. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or offensive. Don’t rely on Quo for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and check important information independently.
Your content
Your chats, files and memories belong to you and stay on your device. We can’t access them, so we can’t back them up or restore them. If you uninstall Quo, clear its data or lose your device, they are gone.
Premium
Premium is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional models and features for the Google Play or Apple account you bought it with. Prices vary by country and are shown before you buy. You can restore your purchase on another device with the same account using Restore Purchases in Settings. Purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store, and refunds are handled under their policies and your legal rights.
Changes to Quo
We improve Quo over time and may add, update or remove features and models. Third-party models can change or become unavailable. Quo is designed to run on a wide range of devices, but some models need more memory or storage than some devices have.
Disclaimers and liability
Quo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about Quo, its models or their output.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Quo, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Quo at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend your licence if you seriously breach these terms.
Apple App Store
If you downloaded Quo from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Quo and is not responsible for Quo, any claims relating to it (including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims) or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim in your local courts.
